Our art space is located in the Nestroyhof built by Oskar Marmorek in 1898 in a historically significant and culturally vibrant neighborhood of Vienna’s second municipal district.
We feel well embedded in the area’s environment of galleries and studios, in an ambience of avant-garde and local culture, and appreciate the immediate proximity of the Hamakom Theatre.
Though Kunstraum Nestroyhof focuses on contemporary fine art, the space is also open for performances, readings, films, artist talks, discussions, and symposia, providing room for everything that encourages looking, listening, talking, and thinking. Thus the Kunstraum equally offers itself as a discursive space.
